Re-appointment of the Executive Secretary
The Representatives,
Recalling Article 3 of Measure 1 (2003) regarding the appointment of an Executive Secretary to head the Secretariat of the Antarctic Treaty;
Recalling Decision 5 (2009), which appointed Dr Manfred Reinke as Executive Secretary of the Secretariat of the Antarctic Treaty for a term of four years from 1 September 2009;
Recalling Regulation 6.1 of the Staff Regulations for the Secretariat of the Antarctic Treaty;
Decide:
1. to re-appoint Dr. Manfred Reinke as Executive Secretary of the Secretariat of the Antarctic Treaty for an additional term of four years, pursuant to the terms and conditions set forth in the letter of the Chair of Antarctic Treaty Consultative Meeting XXXVI annexed to this Decision; and
2. that this re-appointment shall commence on 1 September 2013.
